Whats Next for Zynfadels? The Rolling Stones

With the amount of closed frames coming from Bowls Deep and the Zynfadels, it is easy to overlook the 3rd team in the Bowletin. That team being the Rolling Stones. The newest team emerging from Cutie Pie's willingness to take the reins as team captain. He immediately went out to the free agents, got the best bowler on the market in Alley Rat after electing to opt out of his final year with Bowls Deep. Cutie leveraged the Rat to foster a relationship with The Father and brought him over from Diversey to the F25 league, and somehow managed to bring Raw Dawg out of retirement and back on the scene after his horrific Flag Football accident.

We always write off that third team - but something is different about this bunch. They have a perfect combination of young talent and veteran leadership and both sides to that coin can knock down pins. Their best games this year stack up against Bowls Deep and Zynfadels and it will be a matter of if they can keep the momentum going in this game.

Can The Father Stay Hot?

Through the shuffle of individual standings, there is a name from the Stones that has cracked the top 8 - that being The Father. Posting a 34 handi, The Faj is only 1 pin behind The Kid, last year's Tom Casey award Winner for best bowler. While his high so far is a 181, he has stayed incredibly consistent, despite having to change from the slicker Diversey lanes over to Waveland. His consistency will be crucial to Stones Success tonight and we at the Bowletin are confident Faj will easily best his high score with what is on the line tonight.

This is Alley Rat's Awakening

Some harsh comments came from Jason Wilkin's during Alley Rats zoom interview on Monday (see below) insinuating that it might be time for the rat to hangup the slides and retire early. There was one thing that JW mentioned that we can all agree on - Rat is a polarizing personality in the league, and certainly does not hold back with what he believes is right and wrong. Hell, that is why we love the guy! What I (shit) consider was the most interesting part of that interview, was AR's response to the retirement takes - it was the most even-keel I (dammit) have ever seen the man. "Bowling has it's ups and downs, you're bound to go through those stretches." Sure he then went on to say that he is going to have a 600 series tonight, but I believe it. The guy is hungry, he is done with this team not having any articles on this site, and he is ready to prove everyone wrong.

Cutie Pie Immergence

I cannot think of someone working harder than Cutie Pie to strive and be the best. So far, he hasn't seen the payoff materialize from his countless hours in the lab, but that may be because CP hasn't had the push needed to go to that next level. He has had to play against two rando teams, and hasn't felt the pressure of an intra-league matchup. Tonight will be the immergence. Tonight there will be that pressure he has needed. Tonight will be the night where the form, the shape, come together. You best believe that 87 handi will look like he's been sandbagging the first two weeks.

We know about the Zynfadels. They are the best team in the league. But can they keep the momentum going with B2B intra-league matchups? Throw ability out the window during these rivalries, as whoever wants it most will come out on top.
